A foggy day at the gardens

Today it was a foggy day in Austin, and then there is nothing better to do then walk around the botanical gardens and enjoy the splendor of it all.

The Scoulios Family

Today I spent the morning with the Scoulios family. It was a joy to watch the children, Megan and Patrick discover the gardens. for the first time. Nick and Kim are a pleasure to work with, we shared great stories and enjoyed walking around the gardens. This was an adventure, and it has to be one of my favourite days so far. Thank you to the wonderful Scoulios family. I hope that we are able to hang out again some time soon.

Learning To Dance With Butterflies & Lilypads

Today I went to my favourite spot again, Austin Botanical Gardens, and I felt like I was dancing. I was standing in the middle of the butterfly gardens and the butterflies were flying around me. I kept spinning around trying to catching them. It felt like a dance. When I got home, I was reviewing my photos, I found something that I did not know I captured. I took a photo of a red pepper, and when i got home, I saw that it had some red bugs on it. (I just thought that it had dirty on it) It was a pleasant surprise.

Umeko Go and her beautiful growing belly

Today I had the pleasure of hanging out with Umeko Go and her beautiful growing belly.
We spent some time at the botanical gardens. While we were in the one of the gardens, Umeko was surrounded by butterflies.
It was an amazing experience. It was a great day, and I enjoyed hanging out with this amazing soon to be mommy.

Catching butterflies and dragonflies

Yesterday I decided to go to the botanical gardens. This is my favourite location in Texas. I feel inspired and at peace when I am here. I will be spending most of next weekend here. On saturday, I will be taking photos of the lovely Umeko and her growing belly. She is due in January and has the "pregnancy glow" I hope that I can catch some of this glow in her photos. Sunday, I will be spending the day with a family that I have already worked with. They are a lot of fun, and I am sure that I will blog with many photos of this up coming weekend. Looking for a new location

On November 15th, I have the pleasure of hanging out with a dear friend, and her family. Kim Beauchemin Scoulios is a very talented artist, (check her out at http://theksgallery.com and http://kimscoulios.blogspot.com) and her family is adorable.

I have never taken photos Mayfield Park before, so I thought that I would take a walk through the park to find some locations. What a great place! I am so glad that Kim had suggested it. As you walk into the park, you are greeted by peacocks. They are gorgeous creatures, and so peaceful to watch. I am really looking forward to spend a few hours hanging out with the Scoulios family on the 15th.
